Easter 2012...Eggscellent!

As you may recall, I am not a great fan of Halloween, Christmas, or Valentine's Day but I LOVE me some Easter!

Pastel colors, sweet treats, and a giant bunny that comes to my house while I take a nap??? Awesome! My hopes and dreams finally came true today as I got to share the special experience of the beloved Easter Egg Hunt with my Lil Pardner!

And now you shall see a recap of the entire Easter Weekend...

The weekend started with a trip to the zoo with the Cuzz...

Saturday morning, we went to Bethany Lutheran (Niva's future church preschool) for some Easter fun...

...including a train ride. Poor Niva was so scared of the train driver. Even the next day, she was talking about his scary hands! Whaaat?

They even had a cuddly petting zoo...with a pile of bunnies!

Then, we were off to our buddy Carla Ann's birthday party...the chickens weren't as cuddly but Niva sure tried to pet them!

Happy 1st birthday, girlfriend!

Easter morning, we had a lovely brunch in a pretty nice restaurant. We were armed with stickers but it was the cup of strawberry jam that kept Niva relatively quiet.

We broke all kinds of food rules today.
Post-Easter Nap and Niva's rarin' to see what Mr. EB delievered...

Bunny grahams and Reeses Pieces Pastel Eggs, where have you been all my life?? Nom nom nom!
The faces Niva made during the Easter Egg Hunt were priiiiiceless! Everytime she spotted an egg, she would start panting and run excitedly to it. It was so precious....such a beautiful tradition!
