The Birthday Girl!!!

Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet precious darling apple of my eye, Niva Josephine Bonzek! In the Nepali culture, the 2nd birthday is a great milestone which is celebrated in a big way. What better way to celebrate than with Cookie Monster, Big Bird, and 21 of Niva's closest pals??

On Niva's Birthday Eve, we celebrated with a ceremony to bless Niva with a long lifetime of good luck.

Here, Gammy serves Niva a Nepalese specialty called Yaw Murry.

This morning, Niva was greeted with...A NEW CAR!

...and a GUITAR!

Niva held onto Gammy for dear life as she was surrounded by some big creepy characters.

I think I would be scared too but Cookie Monster and Big Bird were quite the hit!

Niva took a 3.5 hour nap afterwards! I had to start taking these pictures and singing "Happy Birthday" to get her to wake up!

Then, it was time for Present Overload. Niva received such generous gifts from her pals. We need another room in this house!

What a wonderful birthday with family and friends. Every kid that Niva knows and loves was in attendance...it was awesome! This is going to be Niva's best year yet!!!
